Overview

The Governors and senior leadership of Ludworth Primary School have previously approached Stockport Council regarding access and safeguarding issues. The Council agreed to assist the School and also asked if the School would be willing to assist in providing additional primary pupil places for the Marple area.

The proposal to expand the School is in response to an increase in pupil numbers and the growing numbers projected for the future. Ludworth Primary School already has year groups which exceed its Published Admission Number (PAN) of 45 due to the popularity of the School and Admissions Appeal outcomes. This is likely to continue given the growing pressure in the area.
