Bee Network Crossing Proposals - Broadstone Road, Stockport

Closed 12 Aug 2022

Opened 25 Jul 2022

Overview

The Bee Network, unveiled in 2018, is a plan to improve travel across Greater Manchester, making active travel the number one choice for travelling to work, to school and to the shops. But this can only happen if trips by foot or by cycling are a safe and pleasant experience.

The network will be made up of more than 1,800 miles of routes and will be the largest joined-up system of walking and cycling routes in the UK. Once built, the network will better connect every community in Greater Manchester, benefiting 2.7 million people and making cycling and walking a real alternative to the car.

An important part of this work is to create new or improved road crossings for walkers and cyclists in your area. We hope this will make your roads safer, and encourage more people to walk and cycle for short journeys.
