Residents Parking Consultation Edgeley

The Council has been asked by your local Councillors for Edgeley Ward to contact to you regarding a potential Residents Permit Parking Scheme in your area.

A survey has been created on the Council website where residents can indicate whether you would support the introduction of a Permit Parking Scheme with restrictions between the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday through Friday.

Full details of the scheme are as follows:

· Two permits will be available for each household and one visitors permit.

· Each permit will be charged at a current cost of £47.50 per annum.

· For residents who hold a valid Blue Badge and drive, there will be one free residents permit available per household.

· Permit holders will be entitled to park in any available parking space within the zone (the extents of the zone are shown on the Council website when completing the survey).

If the majority of residents are not in favour of the scheme and wish to ‘opt out’, then the Authority will take no further action and all available parking spaces will be taken on a first come/free for all basis.
