Marple Railway Station Signalised Crossing
Overview
Stockport Council is consulting on proposals for a new signalised (Puffin) crossing on Brabyns Brow to improve access to Marple Station. Development of the scheme is funded through the Government’s City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) and aims to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians and bus users accessing the station.
The proposed scheme includes:
- A new Puffin crossing on Brabyns Brow, located adjacent to the station access.
- To facilitate the crossing, the southwestbound bus stop on Brabyns Brow would be relocated approximately 35 metres further southwest.
