ITB - Parkway Estate, Cheadle Heath - 20mph Speed Limit Zone
Overview
Proposed 20mph Speed Limit Zone – Parkway Estate, Cheadle Heath
Stockport Council has a policy of introducing 20mph speed limit zones on residential estate roads. Following a recent review, officers have identified potential road safety benefits in applying a 20mph limit within this area. The proposal supports active travel by encouraging walking and cycling and forms part of the Council’s wider Road Safety Strategy.
This scheme is entirely separate from the recently approved Lidl development and has been assessed independently as a standalone road safety initiative.
