ITB - Cote Green Lane Estate - 20mph Speed Limit Zone
Overview
Proposed 20mph Speed Limit Zone – Cote Green Lane Estate, Marple Bridge
Stockport Council has a policy of implementing 20mph speed limit zones on residential estate roads. Following a review, officers have identified potential road safety benefits in introducing a 20mph limit in this area. This measure would support active travel by encouraging walking and cycling.
Proposed Measures
- A 20mph Speed Limit Zone covering the following roads in both directions for their entire lengths:
|
Ashfield Grove |
Bankside Close |
Belmont Drive |
|
Cote Green Lane * (both ends) |
Cote Green Road * |
Crossfield Grove |
|
Denefield Close |
Ernocroft Road * |
Freshfield Close |
|
Greenbank Road* |
Hillside Grove |
Mayfield Road * |
|
Winfield Grove |
|
|
To support the implementation of the speed limit, the zone will feature entrance signage at six key junctions*, along with repeater signs and 20mph road marking roundels to ensure visibility and compliance.
