1. Do you support the proposals on Dale Street, Hardcastle Road and Cheadle Old Road which include the following measures?
  • Proposed widening of the pavements to reduce crossing distances and the provision of a raised road surface with uncontrolled crossings, with tactile paving to traffic calm and provide a level walking surface for users.  The existing traffic calming features on Dale Street, either side of the junction are to be removed.
  • A Zebra crossing is proposed to the south of the junction on Dale Street to provide a link between Edgeley Park and Alexandra Park.
2. Do you support the following proposals on Cheadle Old Road?
  • Double yellow lines have been proposed on Cheadle Old Road on the approach to Alexandra Park to maintain access into the park.
  • Replacement of the barrier control at the park entrance with a drop-down bollard to allow better cycle access, including for cycles with trailers and adapted cycles.
3. Do you support the proposals to undertake the following changes to the Reservoir Road path?
  • Redesign as a shared use path with amended barrier control, signage and surfacing.
  • Relocation of street lighting to the edge of the path.
  • Introduction of double yellow lines at the end of Reservoir Road to prevent obstruction of access to the path by parked vehicles.
4. Do you support the following proposals at the junction of Stockholm Road and Adswood Road?
  • A CYCLOPS (Cycle Optimised Protected Signals) junction is proposed at the junction of Adswood Road and Stockholm Road. A CYCLOPS provides cyclists with their own safe route around the junction, separated from pedestrians and vehicles. The CYCLOPS junction will be accessed from Stockholm Road by new cycle paths.
  • A segregated pedestrian and cycle route is proposed on the east side of Adswood Road from Rostrevor Road to Newsham Road and a shared use route over the railway bridge from Newsham Road to Vicarage Road.  At Vicarage Road, cyclists can leave and enter the carriageway to an existing raised junction table.
  • An existing shared use route on the western side of Adswood Road is proposed to be retained to link to cycle lanes on Adswood Road.
5. Do you support the proposals of a Zebra crossing on Rostrevor Road?

A Zebra crossing is proposed on Rostrevor Road to provide pedestrian access to and from St Ambrose RC Primary School.
